Who We Are
BDA was initially founded as Further Hope Community Support, a non-profit and charitable organization established in 2013 by a former refugee from Burundi who arrived in Australia on a humanitarian visa. In October 2020, following the General Meeting of members, the company changed its name and became Burundian Diaspora in Australia (BDA) Ltd.
The founder has shown a deep respect for Australian culture and its tradition of compassion for those in need. BDA acknowledges that limited access to food security, essentials, education, and healthcare can exacerbate issues such as crime, inequality, gender-based violence, and child abuse.
We are committed to providing quality management and fundraising solutions, linking individuals and organizations dedicated to creating projects that alleviate poverty.
In Australia, the Burundian Diaspora in Australia (BDA) plays a crucial role in supporting Burundian communities across the country.

We are actively engaged in online fundraising campaigns and appeals to seek support from the broader Australian community. Our goal is to provide everyone with the opportunity to help children and young people in vulnerable communities in Burundi.
Our unwavering goal is to comprehensively support vital areas such as education, healthcare, and social welfare to ensure a brighter and more promising future for these children and young people, addressing every aspect of their well-being.
